x Jean M. Kolling

Jean M. Kolling is a principal of the firm. Her practice focuses are estate planning, tax planning, and business planning. She advises individuals, families, businesses, and charitable organizations regarding tax matters, estate planning, probate and trust administration, charitable giving, disputes with state and federal taxing authorities, and family investment vehicles. She has extensive experience working with owners of closely held businesses on issues such as business succession planning, business transactions, and the formation, maintenance and dissolution of business entities.

Ms. Kolling received a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University in 1983 and a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1986. She is admitted to practice in Illinois as well as in Massachusetts.

She has lectured at conferences and programs of professional organizations, including the Federal Tax Institute of New England. Her articles on estate tax matters and other issues have appeared in Estate Planning Magazine, the New England Real Estate Journal, and other publications. She serves as an advisor and board member for several charitable organizations.
